I read Haruki Murakami's short story, "Drive My Car" last year, and back in January 2022 a movie based on this short story came out that won the Golden Globe and the best foreign film at the Oscars.
While the movie was very emotional and well-acted (I watched it twice), I still liked the book more. Why? Perhaps because that way I was the director of the movie using my imagination. It's just one of those things!
