One of them is, to get rid of ignorance.
Ignorance is a huge problem around the world. Many people prematurely judge and don't empathize or understand people's situations.
By traveling the world you understand different cultures and you won't be so quick to judge why they do things the way they do.
Also, have you seen the rest of the world? It's beautiful. There's so many wonderful places to explore and new things to learn.
And if you're a foodie like me, new food to try is always a good incentive :)
