It all depends. Just like a “normal” relationship, it depends on the maturity of the two people and their commitment to their relationship.
There are pros and cons. I’ve seen people who broke up because they are in LDRs and I’ve seen people settle down despite of the distance and even overcame the distance between them.
Cons:
•Rare physical intimacy.
•There are times that you can’t be for your partner because of time and work constraints.
•Discussing things through messages or calling much take your energies. (You can just hold your partner’s hand or a simple eye contact sometimes both cool you down which is impossible in LDRs.) You have to rely on effective communication.
Pros:
•You get to much appreciate when you’re with each other.
•You don’t take the time with each other for granted.
•All of your firsts with them will be much beautiful.
